The goal of agricultural and biological engineering work is to improve systems involving agriculture, food, environment, and energy. Students and faculty in Agricultural & Biological Engineering work toward this goal, in part, through intensive research.

Our proximity to essential agricultural and biological resources gives us all the opportunity to research subject matter in hands-on, interactive ways. Our students learn close to a host of agricultural production areas and an important concentration of agricultural and industrial equipment manufacturers and food processors.
